First edition, first printing. 182pp, with coloured and black and white illustrations in text, all by Eileen Soper. Red cloth-covered boards with black lettering front and spine. Coloured illustration on endpapers. 12mo. Cloth a little pushed at spine ends. Upper text block edge dust shadowed, remaining edges very lightly spotted. Previous owner's name neatly inked at the top of the front free endpaper. Hint of page ageing else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust wrapper, rubbed at edges with some chipping on lower edge and at base of spine, occasionally on other edges, some minor indentations, shelf worn, not price clipped. Dust wrapper now in a clear plastic sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or glues.
