First edition, first printing. 256pp, with black and white photographic plate illustrations. Black cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine. 8vo. Cloth covers are well worn, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends with some scattered mild marks. Text block edges softened and spotted. Lacks front free endpaper. A little soiling on rear free endpaper, else internally neat, clean and tight. A good working reference/reading copy albeit no longer pretty.
