[1841]. Bound in full, dark brown, leather with gilt lettering on the spine, 'Society for the Promoting of Christian Knowledge' blind embossed on upper panel. Slim 8vo. Covers are worn and marked, quite heavily rubbed on corners and around spine, small indentation on lower edge. Text block edges toned. Binder's stamp (F Remnant of Paternoster Row) on front paste down together with a date stamp reading March 1841. Some spotting on endpapers and first and last few leaves, some dog-eared page corners, else internally neat, clean and tight.
