This is a new edition of Bertie's Escapade which was first published in 1949. The text is reprinted from First Whisper of the Wind in the Willows. It is charmingly illustrated by Ernest Shephard, who is well-known for his drawings on the late 1920s and 1930s when he illustrated A A Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh and Kenneth Grahame's Wind in the Willows. A delightful short tale.
