£47.50

First edition, first impression.  206pp, lavishly illustrated in full colour.  Orange cloth-covered boards with blind embossed titling front and spine.  Illustrated endpapers.  4to.  The volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.  The dust wrapper is very gently bumped on extreme edges, with one tiny mild spot on front panel.

This generously illustrated and beautifully presented catalogue was produced to accompany an exhibition of Japanese paintings held at the Kunsthal in Rotterdam in 2007.  It incudes a selection of essays on aspects of Japanese animal paintings and brush work from the 18th, 19th and early 120th centuries.
